Our Paradise Collection draws inspiration from the beautiful plumeria flower, most often used in Hawaii for lei making. The pieces in this collection, while made of Sterling Silver, are coated with a protective layer of Rhodium plating, which results in a longer lasting luster and shine. We offer a number of different types of pieces including earrings, pendants and necklaces.
The idea of the plumeria necklace is, of course, to mimic the look of a lei. The Hawaiian tradition of lei giving signifies affection and is commonly given as a greeting, farewell, a sign of friendship, appreciation, congratulation and recognition. The idea of the plumeria earring mimics the Hawaiian tradition of wearing flowers in one's ear - if a flower is worn in the right ear, the person is single; if a flower is worn in the left ear, the person is taken.
